John Martin (b. 1963) makes drawings and sculptures from clay and wood, inspired by growing up on a Mississippi farm. Practical tools like scissors, cars, and Swiss army knives mingle with snakes, alligators, and other swamp creatures in a mashup of city and country, past and present.
