Carlo Daleo (b. 1961) started making art at the age of five after witnessing two pop-culture tragedies: the death of Walt Disney and the car accident that injured Jan Berry. Ever since, he’s used sketching, painting and writing to capture and imagine hyper-specific moments in pop culture with humor and reverence. Carlo lives in Brooklyn and is a member of Brooklyn’s LAND Studio & Gallery. He was a Summertime artist-in-residence in 2021 resulting in the solo exhibition The Carlo Daleo Show.
