LOVE IS DEAD

Join us Saturday, February 10th for Love is Dead, David Schmuckler’s homage to Halloween —  his favorite spooky holiday and the ultimate anti-Valentine’s Day.

David Schmuckler is a multimedia artist who works out of Center for Creative Works in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania and, like us, counts down the days ‘til Halloween. Using source imagery culled from Google image searches for phrases like “Halloween Scary Mask Costume,” “Bloodscream,” and “Krampus Horror,” David develops singular characters from horror genres around the world.

David will be completely transforming Summertime into his fantasy love-graveyard with 10’ painted banners, stuffed tree monsters, red smog and more “spooky creepy creeps!” Over the past few months, David has utilized our floor plan to fully envision a multisensory performance. He’ll be wearing a hand painted costume and performing as his character Vampire Evil Devil Demon Monsters to a thunder-heavy soundtrack of his own design. Using his voice and found materials, David creates the sounds of devil growls, satanic voices, knives being sharpened, claws that scratch, doors that creak, and echoes that roar — to invoke the soundscape of a haunted house inhabited by demons.

Don’t miss this spectacularly spooky experience! David will perform at 6:30p on the dot, don’t be late!
